Bastide du Roy
Antibes
Here is one of the French Riviera’s most prestigious venue, rich in history. Located in Antibes, in a 7 hectare garden, it was built at the end of the 16th century. In 1608, Henri IV was presented with the splendid Bastide du Roy. This majestic venue was later sold to the municipality of Antibes. In 1924, the famous fashion designer Jeanne Lanvin acquired the Bastide du Roy. However, Jeanne Lanvin gift it to her daughter Marie-Blanche and her son-in-law The Count Jean de Polignac for their wedding presents. Once the location was found, they built a green theater inspired by the parks of the Provencal landscape.
THE CHARM OF THE FRENCH RIVIERA
This venue then represents 365 olive trees with four water points representing the four cardinal points. Here are the magnificent French and Spanish gardens. In 1971, the Bastide du Roy was rented for a season to Bianca and Mick Jagger. In the same year, the Rolling Stones recorded their album Exil on Main Street. However, from 2017 to the present day, Divina Gismondi, daughter of Jean Gismondi and her sister Sabrina Gismondi, has managed to transform the Bastide du Roy into a venue dedicated to events.
INSPIRATION FOR THIS WEDDING
If you’re looking for wedding inspiration that marries Provencal charm, timeless elegance and romance, then look no further. However, the inspiration of the day is in every detail, so it’s a feast for the eyes. This dream wedding is everything that we love, especially for the sweetness and romance of spring.
BREATHTAKING DETAILS
For this wedding, our bride is wearing a white and purple wedding dress, designed by the talented Marion Fera Création. Here’s a fashionable look and a wonderful romantic atmosphere. As for the groom, he’s wearing a classic black tuxedo suit. In order to create the perfect atmosphere for a dream wedding on the French Riviera, La Blonde et le Barbue decorate the stunning garden of the venue with many floral elements. This pastel violet and white color palette enhances the setting. So they decorated the courtyard, the table and the bride’s bouquet with a luxurious touch. We can’t resist admiring the spectacular and splendid wedding cake made by the talented Sadie May in a romantic, soft, delicate spirit and adorned with wonderful sugar flowers.
